Will this be a day one patch?
It looks great so far. They have the original SHODAN voice actress, and are in constant consult with the guys that were at Looking Glass back then. I have high hopes. It better do well enough to elicit a remake of SS2, my all time favorite.

I think every game should come with a free dynamic theme that unlocks once you finish the game.
I'm still waiting for the "Eternal Champions" game that was advertised on the back of the Sega Saturn box. That was the main reason I bought on back in the day. It would be great to have the first two cleaned up, and released as bonusus along with a new one.
I still have no firm grasp on what to expect with the gameplay or story. But I like that. Don't ruin the surprise. I am looking forward to discovering not only what the game is about, but also the universe. There is nothing worse than trailers that give up too much. It's only $60. Go out on a limb, and support designers that try new stuff.
Great game. Don't let the negative reviews from IGN sway you. If you notice, they are back pedaling now. This review is a great frame of reference.
Everyone makes that mistake. Bioshock 2 was NOT made by irrational, and kens team. It was farmed out. Infinite is the true sequel.
The screen of a plasma TV is glass. An LCD and LED are matte finished. It would show less glare. But trust me when I say it. I might as well have a flashlight pointed at my screen.
When I first heard of this over a year ago (approx). I was bothered by it. My initial fear was realized. The first game I planned on buying with my shiny new PS4 was Thief. I play in a dark room and sit in front of a 50" plasma. I imagined the blue light reflecting off the screen and ruining the immersion, and being a distraction.
Fast forward to now.... I was right. I tried it, and it did what I thought it would. I promptly covered it with black electrical tape. I still...
Yeah you try telling two teenage brothers that they have to share the account. Scheduling problems, and friends lists, and lobbies. That is not really a good idea. Plus, my kids like to play together sometimes too. That wouldn't work well now would it?
"We constantly look for ways to better serve our customers".... So how does splitting the family up into individual paying accounts serve anyone but Microsoft. My family of four used to pay 99 dollars.... Now I have to pay almost 200 dollars, and not have an allowance control or a way to monitor usage.

Only when anonymous?!? That is the cowards road. If you won't say it to someones face, or with your identity known then you deserve to get roasted when they find you. That is the difference between civilized society, and slack-jawed mouth-breathers.
Great! so now when I play a dark game like Thief 4 or Splinter Cell, I'll get to see the reflection of the blue light off of the front of my plasma screen. I don't know about you, but in my game room, I have the lights off, and the shades pulled. I like to be immersed. This thing is going to shine like a flashlight off the screen. I guess I'll have to stick duct tape over my new $60 controller.... Sighs.
I hope it an early build of the game. The hand animations, and textures look atrocious. Why would someone go into an abandoned asylum, and not bring a flashlight? When carrying the flair or glow stick the doors open but not by your hands. I would like to think that with the next gen power they could animate that. And on top of that. Why are there flairs in a medicine cabinet? The "game" looks more like a tech demo for the lighting.
The game shines in the offline side. It sounds like you are not that interested in the story/campaign mode. That would be a shame if you didn't play it!
But that is what the Autosave does... So I ask you then. What is the purpose of a manual save?
Both my grandparents recently died of old age. While we are at it, I would appreciate it if we would stop saying happy birthday.... It reminds me of getting old, then it reminds me my nana and papa died of getting old, then I feel bad....
